Organic Spray Tan

How Does Airbrush Spray Tanning work?

Answer:

The active ingredient in all spray tan solution is dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a colorless sugar that darkens the skin through staining. DHA reacts with the amino acids (keratin proteins) in the outermost layer of your skin. As these dead skin cells naturally wear off, the color gradually fades, just like a genuine sun tan. The solution I use also includes a bronzer which allows me to see where the solution has been placed and make sure that you are covered evenly. This bronzer will rinse off when you shower.

How Long Does The Airbrush Spray Tanning Process Take?

Answer:

Your first appointment will be 20 minutes.  I like to sit down and explain the details of the product and what to expect afterwards so there are no surprises. After your first appointment, 15 minutes is more than enough time.

How Long Does The Spray Tan Last?

Answer:

Your airbrush spray tan will last between five and twelve days depending on how you prepare and care for your skin afterwards. If you exfoliate really well before your spray tan as well as moisturize really well after your spray tan, your tan will last longer. Taking long hot baths or showers, prolonged exposure to chlorine, and waxing or shaving, will speed up the exfoliation process and shorten the life of your spray tan. We have great products here to help prolong the tan. We offer 10% off to first time clients.

What Do I Wear For My Airbrush Spray Tanning Session?

Answer:

For women, you may wear as much as you want or nothing at all. It is really all about you and what you are most comfortable in. Disposable G-string underwear can be provided for you to wear during your session upon request.

For men, again, it is up to you and your comfort level.

Is Airbrush Spray Tanning Safe?

Answer:

The active ingredient, DHA (dihydroxyacetone), was approved by the FDA in 1973. DHA is derived from raw sugar cane and is the only active ingredient approved by the FDA for sunless spray tanning products. DHA has been used safely over the years in numerous sunless spray tanning products, such as creams and lotions.

Can I do a spray tan and sugaring service in the same appointment?

Answer:

Absolutely! Sugaring doesn’t remove the top layer of skin during your treatment so it is perfectly safe to do a Spray Tan right afterwards.

Sugaring Hair Removal

Why Sugaring over Waxing?

Answer:

Soft or hard wax products are very different from Sugaring products. Being Sugared requires an entirely different mind-set and approach from waxing. For instance, did you know…

Wax products are made of resins which adhere to live skin cells. This is one of the major differences between Sugaring and Waxing. Because wax sticks to any surface it is applied to, pulling it away removes the top layer of skin as well which is very uncomfortable and can do major damage if the wax is too hot.

Our professional Sugaring products never adhere to live skin cells. Therefore, when it is removed, it only gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving behind fresh glowing skin. Additionally, because Sugaring paste is all natural and water soluble, it can easily be cleaned off your skin after your service.

What Direction Does Sugaring Pull the Hair Out Compared to Waxing?

Answer:

With waxing, you remove the hair against the natural direction of growth causing undue levels of pain and breakage of hair. With Sugaring, you only remove the hair in the natural direction of the hair growth. The sugar paste is able to seep into the follicle which helps you to remove the entire thing.

What Is the Sugaring Paste Made From?

Answer:

Our professional Sugaring paste is all natural. The only ingredients are Fair Trade & Organic pure sugar, water, and lemon. That’s it! It’s even edible, delicious, and it’s a wonderful treatment for the skin.

Most products used for waxing are made from petroleum based resins and chemicals making them prone to contamination or cross contamination. With Sugaring, your ball of sugar is only used on you and then disposed of.

Is There A Risk of Burning Sensitive Skin Areas With Sugaring?

Answer:

Waxing requires hot wax which risks burning sensitive skin. Sugaring is done at body temperature. There’s no need for heat. The Sugar paste adheres to the hair, not the skin, and lubricates the root for easier removal from the follicle. Combined with the hair removal in the natural direction of growth, sugaring means a much more comfortable experience for everyone.

What Will Sugaring Do And Not Do?

Answer:

Sugaring will:

  • Help eliminate ingrown hairs
  • Help prevent new ingrown hairs
  • Extract all hair colors and textures
  • Successfully treat all skin types and colors
  • Improve the skin tone and texture

Sugaring will not:

  • Burn the skin
  • Damage the dermal cells
  • “Pit” the delicate facial skin cells
  • Scar the follicle mouth or surrounding area
  • Promote cross contamination

Eyelash Extensions

How do I prepare for my Eyelash Extension Appointment?

Answer:

Please arrive with no makeup or lotions anywhere around the eye area. No mascara, no eyeliner, not even foundation around the eyes. The area surrounding and on the eyes must be completely clean. If your stylist has to spend time removing cosmetics be prepared to spend more time there or receive less lashes during your application.

Skip the java! If caffeine makes you jittery, it can make your eyes twitch. This makes the intricate application of eyelash extensions more difficult and thus more time consuming for your lash stylist.  If you need a sip of water, have to visit the “facilities” or send off a last minute communication, please complete it before your appointment time. You will be asked to put your cell phone on silent during your appointment.

How do I take care of my Eyelash Extensions?

Answer:

Do not get wet for the first 24 hours of the initial or touch-up application. After water is recommended. Vertical water is best. Let it run over your lashes gently.

Do not use oil/glycol based makeup removers, makeup, creams, or cleansers around the eye area.

Avoid saunas and excess steam. This can loosen the bond and cause the extension to drop off completely.

Do not use Mascara. Do not use Waterproof Mascara.

Do not rub, tug, pull, or curl the extensions. This will cause the extensions to fall out and potentially hurt your natural lashes.
